Need to Know !

In the wake of the new era that has dawned with the need to protect “humans from humans”, few traditional customs have never felt more required.

A merciless act of brutality,
Challenged the very existence of humanity,

I feel numb and my heart is broken,
She got for troubling none, death as token.
God’s little angel as she was,
Alarmed us all with a forgotten clause.

A nation where women aren’t respected,
Doom takes over, future fatally infected  !

My country so strange,
My beloved Janmbhumi (Motherland) it had been.
But now I am deeply hurt,
To witness a barbarity never before seen.

Promises & pledges of harmony we take,
Dreamy castles of love and peace we make..

Still.. Into that Hell of Shame my father,
We let our country awake !!

A Strange Check (On) Mate !

A close friend of mine was employed as an air-hostess with a reputed airline. One fine day, she came back trembling with fear. To my astonishment, the cause responsible for the same belonged to THAT section of this unbelievable world, which we usually do not stray towards in our thoughts. Mildly succeeding to hold back herself, she began narrating:

“We were four crew members, handling that flight. Being a national festival, there were few army officers appointed to accompany passengers in every airline for the day. The crew members were split up in groups of two to handle the back and front areas. The female crew at the rear were sipping water after the safety instructions routine.

While they were in a conversation, a female passenger came over and asked for the washroom. On being answered to, she also asked them to hand over a cup of coffee to a man she pointed out on a specific seat number. She informed them he was her husband. The instruction was acted upon immediately and the air hostess went over to the man’s seat to hand over the order.

‘I did not ask for it’, said the man depressingly. The girl insisted, she was sure that the order was for him as it was the exact seat number as she was asked to got to. However, after a second continuous refusal, she went back.

By that time, the wife was exiting the washroom. One look at the crew member and she inquired about the delivery of her order. The girl informed the woman about what had happened and that she might have mistakenly placed the order.

The woman gave a cold response saying she was sure and asked her to offer him coffee again.

This time, the man got silent and never even touched the coffee cup. One army officer was sitting next to him, who had been watching the whole incident. He politely told the girl,

‘This man has not ordered any coffee, I am a witness of that. You might be mistaken. Please do not trouble him any further. He has lost his wife, whose corpse lays in the container section of this aircraft. He is going for her funeral.’

The crew member, with legs shaking, searched for that woman again, whom she could not locate after that conversation anywhere on the plane.”
